A true championship layout with generous fairways, plenty of bunkers and lots of water in play, offers players contrasting landscapes, from coastal holes adjoining the Pacific Ocean to manicured fairways that weave their way through native bushland. The facility also includes a fully equipped Pro Shop, the Golf Improvement Centre, a 260m floodlit driving range and a chipping green with adjoining bunker.

GOLF: Yarra Bend Golf Course

This course is not especially long but still offers a good challenge. It has glorious rows of trees, fast greens and plenty of bunkers to catch the wayward shot. A pretty setting and more challenging than the average public course. Cross slopes on many holes feed the ball into run-off areas. Aiming posts features are set into some fairways to help alignment on 'blind' tee shots. Parrots, ducks and other native fauna are a feature of this attractive course. 

GOLF: Kingston Links Golf Course

This is a true Links style course in the traditional mould of Scottish and Irish courses. Featuring undulating Santa Anna fairways, a choice of tees, superbly fast bent greens and several water carries, this luxury course provides a stern challenge for the social player or the dedicated golf purist. Water influences the line on many shots but fairways are generous enough.

Paradise Palms Golf Course

With no shared fairways, from every tee the golfer is presented with a spectacular and demanding layout before them. Adeptly described as one of the most serene playing fields to be experienced the backdrop alone is worth the effort - regardless of form. Designed by Graham Marsh and Ross Watson and first opening in 1990 the par 72 course measures 6,592 metres off the championship tees (with four tee spots on offer) and its’ AGU rating of 76 offers the first clue as to the scale of the challenge that awaits the keen golfer. Constantly ranked as one of Australia’s best and most challenging courses, Paradise Palms offers a combination of sweeping fairways, snaking creeks, six lakes, narrow undulating greens and 94 bunkers. The course really is a great test for golfers of all levels.

Sea Temple Golf Course
At Sea Temple Golf and Country Club, Port Douglas (formally 'The Links') Mike Wolveridge has turned this old sugar plantation into Australia's only tropical links layout. Restoring the land to small dunes and an open landscape more akin to Scotland, it is possibly the only links course in the world that has strands of rainforest weaving through it. The cooling sea breezes offer the traditional challenge of a links course, while it's starring feature are the 'St Andrews' inspired greens.

Mirage Country Club
Mirage Country Club in Port Douglas is a lavish resort style golf course, designed by renowned architects Peter Thomson and Mike Wolveridge, Mirage was opened in 1988 with the then world's richest Skins game featuring Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, and Curtis Strange. Contained within the two distinctly different 9's are six par 3s, -4s, and -5s. The 'Beach' nine weaves through beautiful thickets of dense tropical trees with glimpses of the Coral Sea, while the mountains on the 'Himalayan' nine provide an impressive backdrop.The bordering the Coral Sea and panoramic mountain views provide the only distractions to a memorable round of golf. 60 minutes drive from Cairns along one of the most scenic drives in Australia.

Hamilton Island Golf Club
Designed by champion golfer, Peter Thomson, the par 71 championship Hamilton Island Golf Club on neighbouring Dent Island measures 6,120 metres (6692 yards). The only championship island golf course in Australia, the course has been designed to challenge all levels of golf enthusiasts, from resort guests to professional golfers.

Given the changes in course elevation; restricted landing areas and the ever-present breezes will provide a definite challenge from the back tees and enjoyable resort golf from the forward marks.
The course is designed as a series of holes strung along the ridges and played across steep valleys and the course layout works with the landform, with generally broad fairways taking the "line of least resistance", avoiding the steeper, more sensitive areas. 

The par 71, 18 hole course features two distinctly different nine hole circuits returning to a central clubhouse with panoramic views of Dent Passage and Hamilton Island. The outward nine holes are a more compact layout around the centre of the island and the inward nine are strung out along the ridges to the south.

The island's natural and rugged beauty, together with its mountainous terrain affords stunning 360 degree views across secluded coves and beaches to adjacent passages and islands, and the mainland beyond.
